In pipeline engineering, the flange is the most overlooked component that can least afford to fail. It doesn't carry the medium, doesn't bear pressure, doesn't control flow – it does just one thing: connects two pipes firmly together. But that one thing, done right, is taken for granted; done wrong, is the start of an accident. SOLID makes steel flanges without unnecessary frills. We just hold the line on a few key points.
First, the right material.
The material determines how long a flange lasts. Carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel – each has its place. SOLID strictly selects materials per ASTM standards – A105 for general service, F304/F316 for corrosive environments, F11/F22 for high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. Every batch comes with a complete mill test certificate – composition traceable, properties verifiable. The wrong material makes the flange useless.
Second, precise dimensions.
A flange that doesn't fit on site is the biggest headache. Misaligned bolt holes, uneven sealing faces, mismatched weld end thickness – any deviation stops the job. SOLID strictly follows ASME B16.5 and B16.47, with tolerances kept well within standard limits. Sealing face finish, bolt circle diameter, flange thickness – every measurement stands up to the caliper.
Third, a refined sealing face.
The core function of a flange is sealing, and the core of sealing is the sealing face. Raised face, flat face, ring-type joint – different forms for different conditions. SOLID maintains strict machining precision on sealing faces, with proper surface roughness to ensure even gasket compression. An uneven sealing face defeats even the best gasket.
Fourth, clear traceability.
From steelmaking to dispatch, a flange goes through forging, machining, heat treatment, and inspection. SOLID maintains complete traceability for every batch – material certificates, heat treatment records, dimensional inspection reports – all filed and retrievable. If issues arise, we can trace them; even if they don't, the record brings peace of mind.
